Zenka Digital Limited a company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Kenya with a company registration number PVT-EYU82X2 (hereinafter called the “Koro” or” Lender” or “us” or “we”) offers a service called USSD that lets you get information from us and send us electronic data about your MPESA account statement and information, to receive your loan to MPESA.
This program utilizes accessibility services to simplify and display complicated, USSD-based operations for illiterate and innumerate users.
We use this service solely to access the data available in your bank statement and related financial information from MPESA, to determine creditworthiness and disburse the loan.
This is obtained through “full control” USSD access tool of your device during usage of our app for the verification of your financial data, that allows us to enter the USSD code for you and access your financial information to disburse the loan.
Data we collect and use in USSD:
- Name, middle name, surname, national ID data that you consent to provide to us via initial consent.
- Safaricom number.
- MPESA SMS messages.
- Information included in the bank account statement.
By granting access to USSD, Loan Agreement Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy as available on our website (https://koro.co.ke/) shall be incorporated herein and shall be construed and read as forming an integral part of the Service.
By agreeing to the following actions, you explicitly agree for Koro to perform this service on your behalf, using access to your device:
- Extract the MPESA financial statement, to determine creditworthiness and issue the loan.
- Access the MPESA financial statement that we receive from you, using automated MPESA SMS access tool, to determine the code to open the statement and access financial information.
USSD is a highly secure solution for authentication and finance disimbursment.
To access the service safely and securely, you should follow these security steps:
- never share your PIN codes with anyone else;
- protect your smart device, use screen lock and follow other best practices of secure use.
